Sarah Newman helped my wife, Dannie, and I sell our home and purchase another. Sarah’s skills as our realtor were invaluable. She gave excellent advice about preparing the home for sale, assigning a realistic sale price, helping negotiate for more than our asking price, and finding the perfect new home. In our instance, selling and buying a home required more help than needed for the typical customer. The hardest part was Dannie’s and my personal circumstances. During this entire time, we were planning our wedding. Moreover, Dannie was caring for her severely disabled son. This required 60 hours of direct personal care each week plus the additional hours necessary for managing the assistants who helped cover the remaining hours. In addition to the wedding, I was overwhelmed with selling my company, which I had owned for 36 years. On top of that, Dannie and I struggled – and I mean struggled – to pack her family’s personal belongings. We inherited a home in Florence Center, we reached out to Sarah Newman at Coldwell Banker to help us understand our options. We immediately felt comfortable with her and agreed to allow her to represent us. She came and met us at the home and told us exactly what to do to prep the home. She even came in and made an scaled drawing of the floor layout, so prospective customers could see the sizing and use that to estimate renovation or improvement costs. I have never seen that.
